Vici Gaming Reborn take Digital Chaos out of the Manila Major

For the first game of the day we had an elimination lower bracket game between Vici Gaming Reborn and Digital Chaos.

Game One

The opening five minutes of the game brought us the first blood, going the way of VG.R, but DC looked to have a better early farming period. When the first major team fight came at around eight minutes, DC managed to take a favourable trade, as their Death Prophet claimed two kills before they dropped the tier one bot tower. With fifteen minutes gone, VG.R were ahead in  kills but found themselves behind in towers, having lost all tier one towers and a tier two top lane. With the advantage there, DC headed into the Rosh pit and claimed an uncontested aegis.

DC continued to press their advantage as they pushed down the bot tier two and went high ground. Without losing any, DC pulled back after having done significant damage to the Radiant’s tier three. With twenty three minutes passed, DC went high ground again and pushed down the bot and mid barracks. The Dire then systematically went top and pushed down the tower but VG.R managed to kill two and save their top barracks.

DC claimed another aegis and looked ready to push to end as they moved top. With twenty eight minutes, and mega creeps for DC, VG.R call the GG.

Game Two

It took six minutes before first blood was drawn, as VG.R sent four in to find a kill on the Timbersaw. VG.R continued to gain constant kills with fantastic rotations to shut down the DC line up, and managed to drop the tier one tower mid at ten minutes. Five minutes later, the Dire team dropped the final tier one tower on the Radiant side and followed this by heading into the Rosh pit to claim the first aegis of the game.

VG.R showed their absolute dominance in this game by dropping the bottom and mid tier two towers and with a few more kills claimed they took the score to 12-1. As the last of the Radiant’s tier two towers fell, VG.R looked intent on keeping their hopes alive in Manila. With thirty minutes passed, VG.R rolled through the high ground mid and claimed a few kills before DC threw in the towel and called GG, tying the series at 1-1 and moving into a decisive game three.

Game Three

VG.R looked to continue their game two dominance with an early first blood onto the Clinkz before two minutes had passed but DC fought back to even it up. The game was a fair amount slower than the previous two, with DC waiting on VG.R’s initiation to counter them. Both teams had dropped all the tier one towers and after dropping the tier two mid, VG.R looked to head high ground with the Death Prophet ultimate. After doing decent damage to the tier three, the Dire backed out and DC quickly claimed an aegis.

As VG.R looked to push the high ground bot lane, DC set up a perfect fight and dropped four of the Dire without any loses, but VG.R refused to give up as they went on the hunt for kills to get themselves back into the game. As VG took a Roshan, the fight came to them and they were prepared for it as they dropped four of DC while the Radiant could only take down two. DC managed to defend their barracks mid, as VG.R went high ground again – with three kills falling each way. The game moved into a slower stage again, with neither team wanting to be caught out of position.

But the Dire team made a push mid and dropped the melee barracks before backing out again and then looked toward the bot lane where they dropped the bottom barracks too. With forty five minutes gone, VG.R pushed down the final barracks top lane and DC had no choice but to call the GG.

An amazing performance and comeback from Vici Gaming. Reborn keeps them alive in the Manila Major while DC are eliminated.
