Nanyang Championships return

KeyTV has announced plans for the second season of the Nanyang Championships following the successful conclusion of the first season last November.

After the first event came to a climax on the first of November last year in Singapore, the Nanyang Championships are back with a second season. This time around, KeyTV has made multiple changes to tournament, including a change of venue for the LAN finals. However, some things still remain the same, such as the event's $200,000 base prize pool and it's best-of-three double elimination bracket with a best-of-five grand finals format.

This year's Nanyang Championships will be taking place in Shanghai, China from the 6th to 10th of July, and will feature eight teams. The invites for the event will be given out on a regional basis, with the four directly invited teams coming from China, Europe, SEA and the Americas. The other four invited teams will be the qualifier winners; qualifiers will be held for the four previously mentioned regions.

Prize pool distribution:
1st - $100,000
2nd - $50,000
3rd - $25,000
4th - $10,000
5th/6th - $7,500
