MarsTV Dota 2 League Playoffs lower bracket EG eliminates VG after a long and contested 2-1 Series.
Game one draft:
Game one started slow with both teams focusing on farming, rather than ganking. Firstblood at around 7 minutes where Lone Druid drops to three, shortly after Drow Ranger hit lvl6. After that it was on, VG went on the offense trying to shut down Arteezy, while creating space for OD to farm mid. With OD online and Radiance on the bear VG started going even more agressive, but were punished every step of the way by EG while still staying on top of the farm. VG's relentless pushing finally paid off with them taking bot mele rax at 30 minutes. Unphased, EG kept on fighting back taking top and defending mid with a venge buyback. They landed a team wipe and this allowed them to take mid, force buybacks while taking bot rax and get mega creeps. VG pushed in desperation, but the creeps got their base, ending game one in favor of EG.
Game two draft:
Game two started a bit faster with EG forcing a firstblood top with Lone Druid dropping again. Shortly after the first night fall, VG turned the tables and dominated the early game completely with a score of 16-3 at the 18 minute mark - and a complete wipe of EG. This doesn't stop in the next 20 minutes as VG keeps on getting kills, taking rosh and pushing. Game ends with a 38 minute GG after EG had enough of this and BurNIng's Gyro not dying once the entire game.
Game three draft:
Game three started as it meant to go on, with teams trading kills in skirmishes, leaving the score always equal. This covered both the early and the mid game, as most fights would be initiated with a Naga song setup as EG was keeping up on the offense, but then would get overpowered by VG and lead to equal trades. The graphs were showing this as well with EG barely on top in gold from the fact that Arteezy was farming well. At the thirty minute mark they finally got their breakthrough. The usual Naga Song setup lead to only an Earth Shaker kill, but that was enough to let EG push bot. They took three more in the next fight and not only bot, but also the mid set of rax. After a quick reset, they five-man wiped VG and the GG was called, ending game three and letting EG advance further.
