"つ ◕_◕ ༽つ GIFF COL POWER" worked, Complexity guaranteed flight to TI5

With day three coming to a close, three teams, namely Complexity, North American Rejects and Mousesports, will live to fight another day in TI5 American qualifier after they eliminated VoidBoys in fourth place.

The day started with North American Rejects taking on Complexity in the winner bracket final. Complexity played a very well rounded game harnessing all the power Twitch chat gave them (viewers were spamming "? ?_? ?? GIFF COL POWER" prior to the game) and finished the series 2-0.

Complexity's win over North American Rejects has earned themselves a guaranteed trip to The International this year. However, they would still have to play a best-of-five against the winner of Mousesports versus North American Rejects to determine who will be qualifying directly and who will be competing as a wildcard.

The International 5 American qualifier will resume at 19:00 CET.

WB final: NAR vs. Complexity

Coming into this game with as the 49% underdog (hardly), Complexity played two very aggressive games against the North American Rejects to secure at least a trip to The International.

In game one, CoL picked Warlock to go solo against NAR's Leshrac. As  everybody would expect, the Warlock lost the early laning phase rather badly but it was the rotation from CoL's Sand King which helped Warlock pull ahead; killing Leshrac twice. Soon enough, CoL's Warlock bought himself an Aghanim's Scepter and CoL wasted no time in taking down NAR's outer lanes. The situation got even dire for NAR as CoL secured the Aegis but they were able to miraculously hold on in the game despite sacking their middle melee barracks.

With Chaotic Offering and Refresher Orb down, NAR tried pushing into CoL's base but it was to no avail. Once the mentioned was off cooldown, CoL continued pushing again while NAR tried to split push. CoL smartly left Sand King back in the base to cancel teleports and successfully halted Leshrac's teleport to defend his base. Facing a 4v5 situation, CoL cleaned up the middle ranged barracks, several effigies and subsequently, both the tier four towers. Leshrac showed up towards the end of the fight and while he managed to hold their base using his buyback, NAR's last ditch effort to end the game went poorly. Leshrac died and CoL was able to mow down the bottom barracks for the win.

The game one loss seemed to have demotivated NAR as they came into the second game playing a lot worse than they did in the first. CoL were able to pull slightly ahead during the laning phase and immediately transitioned their advantage into lane pushing. With only split pushing as their answer, NAR attempted it but CoL positioned themselves better and was able to pick off the split pushing heroes on multiple occasion. CoL built their lead slowly and carefully and took game two in relative ease.

LB semis: Mousesports vs VoidBoys

Game one was just Mouz playing at their optimum level. Following a great laning phase in which they won all three lanes, Mouz pulled off successful ganks after successful ganks courtesy of the Sand King 8 minutes Blink Dagger and Clockwerk's fast level six (6 minutes). To make things worse for VoidBoys, their lack of stun or rather rotation allowed Mouz heroes to teleport despite having them cornered in their jungle multiple times.

Soon enough, Mouz heroes got all the items they needed and they placed extremely deep wards to continuously pick off VoidBoys heroes who were trying to desperately farm. VoidBoys finally tapped out at 30 minutes after losing a 4v4 engagement in the Dire jungle.

The second game on the other hand, was significantly closer than the first. VoidBoys' Clockwerk, Disruptor and Spirit Breaker provided them a lot of power to initiate and they utilized it well, finding pick offs after pick offs. Despite being slightly down in kills, Mouz was able to keep their net worth lead courtesy of their Bounty Hunter. The game dragged on till 36 minutes in which the Sven, ran into Rubick, Bounty Hunter and Invoker alone and was kited around until his Black King Bar ran out. The trio chased after the Sven after that and killed him.

In those 70 seconds while he was dead, Mouz took the tier three tower on the top lane, the two barracks, middle tier two and also Roshan. Mouz used the huge advantage they had and pushed the middle and bottom lane. Their second attempt caught VoidBoys' heroes outside their base and once Sven died to Phantom Lancer illusions, VoidBoys surrendered and wished Mouz members good luck.
