Rex Regum Qeon and Scythe.SG advance to the finals of the AsianCyberGames best-of-the-best SEA invitational after their victories over Execration and Titan respectively. The best-of-three finals will be held next Saturday at 07:00 CET (14:00 SGT).

Rex Regum Qeon of Indonesia was the first team to advance into the finals after defeating Execration in two straight games. They outlasted the strong early game push of the Filipino team in the first game, and then they convincingly sealed the series with a dominating second game. Impressive was RRQ's newest player, veteran Albert 'Don Xwan' Ludong, who replaced Ritter 'Ritter' Rusli. He played Doom thrice out of RRQ's four wins today, and those wins with him using that hero came at an average time of less than 32 minutes. Even more curious was how he progressed with the item on Doom: Dagger-Mekansm in the first game, Manta-Basher in the second, and Armlet-Madness in the third.
The other team heading into the finals is Singapore's Scythe Gaming, who defeated Titan with a 2-1 series score. The first gamed displayed Scythe's resilience, as they won even after being down with almost 25,000 experience at one point of the game. While Titan, winner of last year's Asian Cyber Games Dota 2 tournament, cruised through the second game, Scythe showed an equally excellent third game to seal the series. With Titan leading with two kills and a few thousand gold and experience in the 21st minute, Scythe turned up their tempo and completely dominated team fights. By the time the match ended 20 minutes later, the Singaporean team's tier-3 towers were still intact and they were already ahead by 11 kills, 10,000 gold and experience.
These four teams made their way into the semifinals after winning their respective quarterfinal matches last night and/or earlier today. Titan and RRQ scored 2-0 wins over Zero Latitude and MiTH.Trust, while Scythe and Execration were victorious with a 2-1 series score over First Departure and Arrow Gaming respectively.
Scythe is the favorite heading into the finals, as the Singaporean team has won all of their five previous matches against RRQ. The championship match-up will be played next Saturday, 29 March at 07:00 CET (14:00 SGT). The third-place decider will be held right before that match, wherein Filipino team Execration will go up against Malaysian team Titan. Both series are best-of-three.
The winning team of this tournament will walk away with $2,000, while the runner-up and third placer will receive $1,000 and $500 respectively. Merchandise will also be given away, among which are Dota 2 HeroClix Starter sets for all participants.
