MYM adds Team Life and MiSeRy as coach

MeetYourMakers, one of the longest standing esports organizations with a long and illustrious history in DotA, have finally revealed their latest Dota 2 roster that they have been teasing around for a couple of weeks.

After several weeks of teasing over their Facebook page, MeetYourMakers (MYM) announced at 20:00 CET today that they will be adding Team Life as part of their Dota 2 division alongside Danish Dota 2 veteran and former MYM and LGD International player Rasmus 'MiseRy' Filipsen as coach/back-up player.

In the 38 minutes video that accompanied the announcement, Filipsen explained his decision to join MYM as the coach. "I thought the idea is really cool and I think this coaching thing is something that should be thought about a little bit in the European scene because it has been in China for several teams but never really got into Dota in Europe. I think it's very interesting and they offered me a one month contract to do this, to help them out."

"I'm also really new to this coaching thing and this would also be a challenge to me. I don't know if i will be able to help them but I have some experience regardless. I'll see what I can do," Filipsen added.

Filipsen has been playing a bit with the team lately due to one of the players being unavailable, something he considers a great opportunity when it comes to getting the know the team and learning about what strengths and weaknesses there are.

MYM team roster:

Denmark Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen
Denmark Markus 'Ace.' Hoelgaard
Denmark Jonathan 'unicornxoxo' Arge
Sweden Hampus 'Mini' Olsson
Germany Mete Han 'Exist' Aksüt
Denmark Rasmus 'MiSeRy-' Filipsen (coach)

Formerly playing under the wing of Mousesports, the players from Team Life were abandoned by their sponsor on the 24th of January because they were struggling to maintain a stable roster and underperformed in several tournaments. The team continued to participate in several European tournaments such as Steelseries Euro Cup 3, joinDOTA League Europe and EiZO Cup. They are on a 5-6 record since they left Mouz.

Known for sponsoring one of the most dominant teams back in the Warcraft 3 days, MYM has been home to household Dota 2 personalities such as Ben 'Merlini' Wu, Kuro 'KuroKy-' Salehi Takhasomi, Jimmy 'DemoN' Ho, Kai 'H4nn1' Hanbückers, Brian 'MaNia' Strandby - to name a few.

The organization let go of it's team in 2009 after going bankrupt before being taken over by a German company. The organization then went on to recruit it's former team led my Jacob 'Maelk' Toft Andersen and placed a respectable fourth place at the inaugural Dota 2 competition, The International 2011 in Germany, Cologne with a mixed Danish-American roster.

MYM's effort of housing a stable Dota 2 team has not been fruitful since their previous two ventures; Scythe Gaming and The Tough Bananas, ended abruptly. As an eSports organization with some of the longest traditions and stability, they certainly have much to bring to the table, having declared that their foremost priority with this new team is to attend this year's International.
