Overcoming Tongfu just moments ago, Invictus Gaming has secured their spot in the playoffs for G-League. They will be joining DK who finished first in group A on a 3-0 record.
Invictus Gaming has earned their spot in the G-League playoffs after they topped group B on an almost flawless record. Set to face LGD.cn, Tongfu and DT^Club in the groupstage, iG dominated both LGD.cn and DT^Club with a 2-0 record and took down Tongfu earlier today 2-1. With the win, the teams from group B advancing to the next stage have been decided and DT^Club, the big underdog coming into the tournament, has unfortunately been eliminated.
Tomorrow's group B games will decide if LGD.cn or Tongfu's received the better seeding going into the pre-playoffs. The pre-playoffs format will be a double elimination with a seeded lower bracket. The second placers of each groups will begin the pre-playoffs in the winner bracket while the third placers will start in the loser bracket. The winner bracket final winner and loser bracket final winner will qualify for G-League playoffs.
The seeding in group A on the other hand, will also have to wait for Titan versus Vici Gaming tomorrow. Titan is basically fighting for their survival in the tournament and if they lose, they will be eliminated from the tournament. If the Malaysians win against the champion of EMS One, Speed, Vici Gaming and Titan will be in a 3-way tie and they may have to settle it with a tiebreaker round.
The pre-playoffs of G-League will begin on the 17th of December. The playoffs will follow on the 19th.
