Interview with the French King

[s]interview[/s]

Keni has had the opportunity to interview the French King 4K-ToD, who recently won the French WCG qualififer in Paris and is thereby ready for Singapore. He is also invited to BlizzCon as one of the eight WC3 players to fight for $10,000. "I will just try to do my best" he says in a modest way.

The French Human player has played in the two previous seasons in WEG but for the third edition he decided to not take part. Reason being that the French World Cyber Games qualifiers clashed with WEG, where ToD found World Cyber Games more appealing. "I have already attended WEG twice, and for me WCG is a better tournament," ToD explains in a feature interview over at SK-Gaming.com. He has dominated the French qualifiers without losing a single map. This year, France only received one spot in the World Cyber Games Grand Final in Singapore, which means that ToD will be the one representing the tricolor. Because of this, ToD felt a bit disappointed: "I think Wolf deserved to fly with me to represent France." he revealed.

Representing the "weakest race" at WCG

The interview also brings up the fact that he is representing the "weakest race" - Human. "Hmm, I'll try to relativize, and I hope to do my best there and get as far as possible." ToD says, and adds further on that Night Elf is the toughest match-up for him. And the latest 1.20 patch did not really help the Human race, says ToD. "Tree of life building time increased by 10 secs and Human's buildings armor divided by 2.. I let you do the comparison..."

All the 'Kings' but one qualified for WCG

All players but one (FuRy, who will try this weekend) are already qualified for the Grand Final in Singapore. This does not affect ToD that much, if not only in a positive way. "if I lose against one of them, it will be easier to accept than if I lose against someone else," he says.

Seeded #3 at BlizzCon - perfect for ToD

blizzconlogo.gifIf World Cyber Games was not enough, ToD is also participating in the BlizzCon Invitational Tournament next weekend. He has been seeded #3, and will go up against the Undead Swede SK.MaDFroG. "I'm quite trustful for my match against MaDFroG, and if I win I will be up against Zad or Shortround." he says and mentions that if he were to choose which players to play in the tournamnet, he would have chosen those ones.
