ASUS Summer officially announced

What until now have only been vague planning concepts by a leading event executive is now official. The raised prize money of ASUS Summer 2011 is confirmed, same applies to date, location and qualification tournaments, to which several details are now published as well.

The extent of the Masters-status, which DotA has been awarded with some time ago, is now fully unveiled. Compared to the previous ASUS DotA tournaments, that directly put up to 32 teams in front of PCs at the Cybersport Arena, the amount of participating teams at the finals has been cut to 16. Out of these, nine slots are saved for professional teams from all over Europe, while the remaining seven are apportioned to amateur teams, who passed one of the qualification tournaments which the organizers host for the first time in ASUS' history. These are split into one Russian, one Belarussian, one Kazakh and three Ukrainian tournaments. The seventh tournament will take place online at the Ranked Gaming Client and offers space for up to 256 teams. For more information about this qualifier, visit the bottom link at the key below.

H2K, Virus, NE.Pentia, Natus Vincere and Moscow Five already announced themselves for the weekend around the 13th of August when ASUS Summer is to be held.

The prize money is now officially doubled to 250.000 RUB (~6300 EUR) and the Cybersport Arena in Kiev will again serve as venue.
