[hnice]In the wake of the the formation of the GosuGamers Starcraft II team, GosuGamers DotA has also acquired its own team. The former New World Order will now play as Team GosuGamers (GGNET) and will represent the website and community from 2011 and onward.[/hnice]
It's been quite a long time coming for, perhaps, the largest international DotA website to get its own team. Quite simply, GosuGamers's search for a DotA team has mirrored New World Order's long and lonely search for a reliable sponsor. Luckily for us not only were circumstances perfect for both parties, but we could not have asked for a better team to represent our organization. While, of course, the skills of the players are absolutely beyond question, they also represent the diversity and dynamism GosuGamers greatly admires and wishes to embody as a website. As GosuGamers is a community built not around nationality or geography, but rather shared interests and ideals, across countries and continents, it is very fitting that the team that will represent us in 2011 and onward is a team unbounded by nationality, language, or orthodoxy.
We are are extremely proud to bring to you, our readers, for the very first time, your very own home team -- a team whose progress we will intimately follow, whose players you will get to know better than any other, whose triumphs and tribulations, we hope, you will take pride in and grow to be passionate about. Of course many of you already know them, love them, hate them, worship them, curse their names: Puppey, Pajkatt, KuroKy, Azen, Mirakel are now officially your players. We could not have hoped for a brighter and more talented bunch.
As an organization, we hope to give them the international exposure they deserve. We will work to make them a feared presence in both online competitions, such as Farm4Fame and GosuCup, and international LAN competitions such as ESWC and SMM. The players themselves will be working closely with us to make our community more vibrant, informative, vital, and enjoyable for all our users. We hope that this partnership will not only help to improve our website and community, but also improve the experience of all of our readers.
