Blizzard posted last week about some of the changes that will come in Patch 1.0.5 and it is an interesting bunch of changes and additions to the game, as we get two systems back from Diablo 2 in the new Pandemonium Event called Inferno Machine and Players X.
Many players have raised a concern that Blizzard have nerfed Inferno too much to make it so more casual players can enjoy it but that is now going to change as Player X is introduced and this is what Jay told IGN about the system
In the Gnn.Gamer.com.tw interview Jay gave some more insight in the Player X system. A level 60 character can before entering the game set the difficulty from 0 to 10, this can not be changed during a current session. There will be more and better loot and gold the higher the Player X value is and even the ordinary Bosses can drop more loot then they would normaly do. And for the players that grinds for Paragon will get even more XP the higher the Player X value is.
The most interesting new addition to Diablo 3 comes in the sort of Pandemonium Event called Infernal Machine, we still have to get the blog about this system but Jay gave s sneak peak teaser about the system.
This item hunt is very much like what we had to do to get into Über Tristram back in Diablo 2 and for Whimsyshire in Diablo 3. To get these items you need to collect ingredients from all four acts much like the ingredients for Staff of Herding.
There are some really nice rewards you can obtain during this event such as a unique ring and other items that can only be found in this event. All of the items both for unlocking the event and the unique items dropped will be account-bound so no trading in the AH.
