Top GosuRanked players in attendance

Germany Xixo - World Rank #1 • GosuAwards Summer nomination for "Best player"

After winning the  $50,000 StarLadder, Xixo is king of the GosuRankings for the first time in his career and will be looking forward to bank more points this week. The NaVi player shares a group with 2014 World Champion Firebat and popular streamers Eloise and Forsen and, on paper, has more than a good chance to advance to the Round of 16.

Germany SuperJJ - World Rank #2 • GosuAwards Summer nominations for "Best player" and "Breakout player"

The same can be said about SuperJJ. Nominated for "Best player" in GosuAwards Summer - just like Xixo - Complexity's best performer has a slightly tougher group with reigning world champion Ostkaka, Hearthstone veteran StrifeCro and one of the shocks of SeatStory Cup IV Frodan.

Denmark Hoej - World Rank #4

Speaking of tough groups, look where Denmark's Hearthstone household name is in. Hoej is sharing a pool with a Blizzcon finalist in Naiman and SK's heavy-hitter Powder, not to mention experienced TCG player Lothar, who will have the combined wisdom of G2 behind him prepping for the tournament.

Netherlands ThijsNL - World Rank #5 • GosuAwards Summer nomination for "Best player"

The two-times European champion ThijsNL missed the last two DreamHack majors and is falling a bit behind in terms of GosuRanking points, but that means literally nothing. G2's ace is nothing if not the favorite to win every single tournament he enters and it's no different for SSC V.

Romania Rdu - World Rank #7 • GosuAwards Summer nomination for "Best player"

Rdu is back in his old top form after his triumph at DreamHack Summer. Rdu is playing Archon's Zalae in his first match but will also have to go through rising star Nostam and inventive deckbuilder MrYagut if he wants to join the top 16. Certainly not the toughest group of them all, but not a walk in the park either.
