Roger 3-0’s Rdu to join Thijs in the HouseCup #3 playoffs

Viagame HouseCup #3 full coverage

The Taiwanese powerhouse is not ready to give up his dreams of a second HouseCup final.

Roger has been a player to watch for some time now. Packing an impressive win record over the past few months in the ESL Legendary Series and the previous HouseCup, the Wayi Spider member came to Bran Castle ready to crush face.

And face he crushed. His opening game against Crane resulted in a dominant 3-1 on the back of his Handlock. Even though Roger got taken aback by Thijs’ unexpected anti-Handlock Shaman, he wouldn’t let any other Nihilum players stand in his way. Picking Druid three games in a row, Roger annihilated Rdu’s Combolock, Paladin and Patron Warrior to guarantee himself a place in the playoffs.

This means that Rdu joins the bench of eliminated players to make Crane company and it won’t be a full Nihilum triumph in Group A. The tournament is now ready to continue with another stacked group, featuring the talents of Firebat and Lifecoach.

Although those two do look like the favorites, French player Kalaxz and Handsomeguy from Korea represent the group of unknown players which has done very well this year already, with names like Orange and Hoej rising up and taking major championships despite popular expectations.
