Heroes of Cards announce LAN event in December and massively increased prize pool

What started as a small-time invitational is now about to go big as Heroes of Cards' website speaks of a $20,000 LAN event this winter.

The first ever Heroes of Cards was held at the end of August, listing players such as Amaz, Massan, Trump, Rdu, ThijsNL and more. After two short playdays, MYM's own Rdu walked out victorious over TSM's Massan, adding yet another trophy to his already rich collection.

The second edition of the tournament is now a mere day away as the organizers have extended invitations to eight more players. Reigning champion Rdu and runner-up Massan return, joined by other powerhouses like HouseCup champion Kolento and SeatStory Cup winner Savjz. Weekly cup powerhouses such as Ostkaka, Kaldi and Ignite will also make an appearance, colouring up the player mix. The event itself will be extensively covered by GosuGamers on our dedicated coverage hub.

The big news, however do not stop here. Heroes of Cards representatives told GosuGamers that the tournament will return with a third edition in November with a doubled-up prize pool of $5,500. Then, in December, a massive LAN event will be held as the pot increases fourfold to reach $20,000. The amount of players will also be increased to 16 up from currently eight with the grand finalists from the second and third edition getting direct invites to the LAN finals.

We proudly announce that the Heroes of Cards #4 will be played from the 13th through the 14th of December in Weesp, Netherlands. This edition is a LAN edition with 16 invited players from different regions.
