Dota 2 fans are in for a treat on the third day of the TI11 Main Event with both lower bracket series going the distance and delivering breathtaking performances from the Western European competitors.
After OG made it to the top eight after being pushed to a game three by Gaimin Gladiators, it was Team Liquid’s turn to keep their nerves in check and control the chaos that Entity has been able to bring on stage at their first-ever The International.

Entity began their battle for survival at TI11 with a signature offlane Naga Siren and a mid lane Arc Warden draft, but their greed was perfectly countered by Liquid, who forced them to a fast paced game with Leshrac and the infest bomb combo Spirit Breaker-Lifestealer. They ended the game way before the monster cores of Entity could make the difference, but arrived to game two, Entity changed the tactic.
They took the Leshrac for themselves and played as a unit around a carry Sniper who had perfect vision, slows, and lockdowns provided by his team to right click down Liquid the entire game.
Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko’s Sniper along with Arc Warden and Leshrac didn’t make it through the third game draft, all being banned by Liquid, who took for themselves comfort picks to outlast Entity’s Broodmother shenanigans.
Liquid were once again able to play around the SB-Lifestealer combo, while also having an Ember Spirit on their side and Zai’s enigma. The game went back and forth for 40 minutes straight before Liquid were finally able to team wipe Entity twice in a row without suffering major casualties themselves. Even so, Entity’s resilience and determination to fight until the very last moment prolonged the game for 10 more minutes more before admitting defeat and exiting the TI11 stage in the 9th-12th place with $345,347 for their run.
While Entity bow out of the competition, Team Liquid will return to the stage in Suntec Arena from Singapore tomorrow, October 23rd when they will be pitted against OG for a battle for a top six place.
