Similar to the inaugural edition, the Dota 2 WESG competition from this year is boasting an impressive $1,500,000 prize pool but the road to the Global Grand Finals, which will be held sometime in March 2018, is a long one. Up until now only China decided its qualifiers winner. EHOME will be representing their country in the Global Grand Finals, but two more teams got a second chance for the $1.5M main event. Rock.Y and Keen Gaming, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the CN qualifiers, will be able to participate in the APAC sub-regional qualifiers. The APAC National qualifiers have designated 17 sub-regions and registrations are open until the end of November. You can find all the info regarding the APAC qualifiers here.

In less than two weeks from now, the European and CIS LAN finals will kick off. StarLadder will host the event in Barcelona, Spain, November 22-26. From the 20 attending teams, only the top 12 will make the cut to the WESG Global Grand Finals. The last stage of this second edition of WESG welcomes 32 teams to China in March next year, eight teams more than the inaugural edition. Although there is only a male or mixed competition for Dota 2, WESG have added female only competitions for Hearthstone and CS:GO. More information about all the disciplines qualifiers can be found on the WESG official  website.
