EGM to reunite with Akke at syndereN's new team

Featuring the likes of syndereN, Akke, Excalibur and BabyKnight, EGM has found his new home in Team Crescendo.

It looks like Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist has found the new home that Alliance were referring to, and it sure appears to be a solid contender for the European qualifiers of this year's International. While it does make us happy and sad at the same time that Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen might not end up at the caster's desk this time around, it's surely delightful to see him in the offlane position in this new team as well as the reunion of the TI-winning support duo of EGM and Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall after almost a year of inconsistency for both of them. The news was announced by both Akke and syndereN on their twitters.

Team Crescendo also features Jon '13abyKnight' Andersen back in action, in what seems to be the carry role this time, as cleared out by Akke in his recent tweet. While BabyKnight continued streaming under the banner of Cloud9 after they disbanded their roster, but his fans will certainly be elated at the fact that BabyKnight will be making a run for this year's International with fellow Dane syndereN and on the back of a beastly support duo. The honours of the mid-lane will be handed over by BabyKnight to none other than Sweden's world-renowned Meepo player Steve 'Xcalibur' Ye, who has been playing with Akke in Team Horde since Akke's departure from Alliance. The third core for the team will be syndereN himself, who will be making his return to the core position and certainly gives a throwback to his times in mousesports and mTw (although Henrik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg may not approve of it still!).

Team Crescendo (positions 1 to 5)

Denmark Jon '13abyKnight' Andersen
Sweden Steve 'Xcalibur' Ye
Denmark Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen
Sweden Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist
Sweden Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall

The Scandinavian team will be managed by Joe Eastman, who has also managed EGM's former team 4 Clover & Lepricon, which later evolved into Mama's Boys. While the roster seems to have excellent chemistry in the two Danish brethren - syndereN and BabyKnight as well as the Swedish trio of EGM, Akke and Xcalibur, only time (and results!) will tell how hefty a punch Crescendo packs.
