The second week of League Play concluded with Alliance topping the leaderboard with convincing victories over NP and Escape Gaming.
Upon his arrival at Alliance, Simon 'Handsken' Haag took the drafting duties and the in-game shot-calling responsibility, which brings a fresh playstyle to the seasoned Swedish team. With Jonathan 'Loda' Berg playing from Gyrocopter to Weaver and Drow Ranger, Alliance had games where they tried a lot of different strategies. From aggressive trilanes and fast pace pushing lineups to late game Naga Siren turtling matches, Handsken seems to look into every option in order to find the most fitting strat for his new team.
Before starting the second week of the League Play, it was Escape Gaming at the top of the leaderboard with a maximum four points accumulated in four matches. But their only series from week two was held against Alliance who took a 2-0 victory with an offlane Lifestealer for Loda in game one and an interesting Weaver midlane choice for Linus 'Limmp' Blomdin in game two. Facing NP in the next series, Alliance kept building on their winning streak by tooking another 2-0 victory and secured a total of $4,000 in their debut day at Dream League Season 6.
As the League Play stage offers $1,000 prize money for each game won, Alliance secured a total of $5,000 at the end of their week run. Just behind them, with a total of 4 points each, are Escape Gaming and Team Liquid.
The next week will be the most important for the Swedes as it schedules their last games and they will all be held against CIS squads. Week three will commence on the 25th of October with a new special guest at the commentary desk and an el classico Alliance vs Na’Vi scheduled at 21:00 CEST.
Top four teams from the League Play will qualify for the DreamLeague Season 6 LAN playoffs which will be held on November 25-26 at DreamHack Winter 2016 in Jönköping, Sweden.
