South East Asia Championship 2015: RRQ victorious, TnC says farewell to two players

Over the weekend, the South East Asian Championship's LAN event took place in Jakarta, Indonesia. The winners were RRQ, taking home the $5,000 grand prize. Meanwhile, the third place finishers, TnC will be bidding farewell to two of their players.

It was an exciting weekend for the participants of the South East Asian Championship LAN finals as eight top SEA teams gathered in Jakarta, Indonesia to battle it out for the $10,000 prize pool. The winner, RRQ, was decided after an intense best-of-five grand finals against Who2Bet, the series ended 3-2.

Top three in the SEAC:
1st Indonesia Rex Regum QEON - $5000
2nd Malaysia Who2Bet - $3000
3rd Philippines TnC - $2000

For the third place team, TnC, this will be the last time the team will be playing with their TI5 qualifiers roster. Prior to the tournament, the members, John Linuel 'Teehee' Abanto and Jhonel Jay 'seven' Maguddayao, left the squad; however, in an operation dubbed as "One Last Ride" the two players rejoined the team to play for the lastl time at SEAC. Teehee will be retiring to focus on his studies. As for seven, limited information is available regarding his future. The two players that will be replacing them are Mark Louise 'xLucky' Reyes and Marc 'Polo' Fausto, the team's sixth player and the former MSI carry player.

TnC's new lineup:
Philippines Nico 'eyyou' Barcelon (Captain)
Philippines Carl Jerome 'Gnoji' Pelagio
Philippines Sam 'SamH' Hidalgo
Philippines Marc Luis 'Polo' Fausto
Philippines Mark Louise 'xLucky' Reyes

The South East Asian Championship or SEAC is a tournament featuring some of the top teams in the region and a $10,000 prize pool. The tournament also featured the first ever Dota2 international LAN events hosted in Indonesia. Other than the already mentioned teams, some of the better known squads that participated in this tournament are First Departure and Signature.Trust; they finished 7th and 5th respectively.
