Is Team Secret disbanding?

Is Team Secret disbanding? That is the question of the day. According to Ukrainian caster Vitali 'v1lat' Volochai, all five members of Team Secret could be departing from the team.

UPDATE: Team Secret has release a statement that confirmed both Ludwig 'Zai' Wåhlberg and Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev having left the team's active roster; Arteezy left to join EG and Zai is no longer part of Team Secret's active roster, moving to a different role within Team Secret - presumably filling the role of a coach. The future of the team is still not confirmed and Team Secret "will have more to announce later in the month".

In the statement by Team Secret, a statement from Arteezy was included; the statement started off with a thanking of fans, followed by a recap of the year, specifically mentioning that "Working with Puppey over this year has been a great experience, one I will value for the remainder of my career". This statement was then ended with words of encouragement for Gustav 'S4' Magnusson, "I hope that s4 finds the team mates he is looking for that will channel his inner beast mode pushing him to his full potential."

Volochai's claim:

Zai - Taking a break for studies
s4 - Going to Alliance
Arteezy - Confirmed with EG
Puppey - Free agent
KuroKy - Free agent

Many speculated that Secret will be making some roster changes but a complete disbandment is rather surprising considering the pool of players available for Secret to pick to rebuild their team.

Although it is highly likely that Zai, s4 and KuroKy will be departing from the star-studded team, the announcement of Arteezy joining Evil Geniuses earlier today further hinted that Secret may indeed be losing all their players.

Team Secret was considered to be the team to beat heading into The International 5. After winning three consecutive LAN events leading up to TI5 (The Summit 3, MarsTV Dota 2 League, ESL One Frankfurt), the team continued to perform well in the groupstage of TI5, finishing second behind LGD in group A.

Going into the main event, Team Secret's stellar performance prior to the tournament started to crack as they lost 0-2 against EHOME in the quarter-finals of the winner bracket. The loss caused them to play from the loser bracket and while they eliminated Invictus Gaming in the 9-12th placing, they eventually finished in 8th place after a devastating loss against the non-stop aggression of Virtus.Pro.

Team Secret has yet to announce what will happen to their team and we will just have to wait until they make an official announcement. Stay tuned to GosuGamers for your latest update regarding Team Secret.
