MSS announced the revival of the team North American Rejects, the roster features bLeek, USH, MSS, Korok and Fogged. NAR first appeared back in April 2014 for the TI4 American Qualifier.
What initially started out as a tease from MSS on his twitter at 11:30 CET, is now confirmed, a new North American Rejects roster has been announced, it looks like the main goal for the new roster will be to qualify for The International 5 similar to last year. It'll be interesting to see whether this team stays together for a long time or falls like its counterparts of last year. NAR will have to play the TI5 online qualifiers most likely, since Valve said that they'll invite teams shortly after May 1st and most of the online tournaments/qualifiers are already underway and this new roster might not get a chance to show that they're worthy of an invite.
Arif "MSS" Anwar started as a stand in for Team Liquid, he was then signed by Evil Genuises (late 2013), later he joined Team Dog (March 2014) which was picked up later by German Organisation Mousesports. After a dissapointing bottom six finish with the German team which included Pajkatt and Misery at the The International 4, he left competitive Dota for a year due to academics and is now back with the new North American Rejects roster.
The first North American Rejects roster was formed in April 2014, the team featured veterans from the American pro scene at that time; Fogged, Brax, 1437, Dismek, Sneyking and Korok. Everyone except Dismek (who was known for streaming) were on professional American teams before forming joining NAR. The team was formed for the sole purpose of qualifying for TI4, which they did and were picked up Natus Vincere to play under the tag Na'VI US.
Na'VI.US had finished with a poor outcome at TI4, they were eliminated in the second phase after ending in the bottom two of the round robin. The team had a rough time post TI, waytosexy and ush were also added to the team in October 2014 to help them improve. Despite having a 75-60 overall record, the team didn't have real accomplishments post TI4, they barely managed to make LAN finals; 5-6th in The Summit and 5-8th in ESL One Frankfurt 2014. The team started crumbling slowly, played with a bunch of standins; 7kcngmad and even BTS caster Merlini. Eventually, they were finally dropped by their organisation Natus Vincere on 2nd December 2014.
