While we're currently in the midst of the first-ever Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series: Preseason, Riot Southeast Asia has just announced the League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Summer Season, slated to begin on 3rd April. Top teams from all over SEA will be competing against one another for the next two months, which culminates in the Summer Super Cup.
It's also worth noting that this will be Riot Games Southeast Asia's first-ever tournament, let alone a MOBA tourney. However, Riot Games SEA sees this as just a stepping stone for better things in the future. Acting as an important foundational step, which will help in establishing the regional legacy of SEA players and teams in the global mobile MOBA esports scene.
“We’ve had an exciting preseason for the League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon
Series, during which we’ve seen some show-stopping performances from our invited teams.“We look forward to cheering these top regional talents on and we invite all Wild Rift fans to cheer
their favourite teams on as they continue their journey this Summer.”Chris Tran, Head of Esports for Riot Games Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
