Paper Rex are the VCT Pacific Stage 1 champions

With their win, Paper Rex have qualified for VALORANT Masters London and the Esports World Cup.

Paper Rex have been crowned as the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Stage 1 champions after defeating FULL SENSE in a dominant 3-0 sweep at the Grand Final on Sunday (17 May) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The victory marks another major regional title for PRX, with Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto earning MVP honours after a standout performance throughout the series.

How did Paper Rex and FULL SENSE reach the VCT Pacific Stage 1 Grand Final?

PRX looked dominant from the start of the tournament, finishing at the top of Group Alpha with a 4-1 record during the Group Stage. Their strong finish secured them a direct spot in the Upper Bracket Semifinals of the Playoffs.

FULL SENSE, meanwhile, had a more difficult path. The Thai squad finished third in Group Omega behind Rex Regum Qeon with a 3-2 record, narrowly securing a Playoff berth.

Once the Playoffs began, FULL SENSE found another gear. They stormed through the Upper Bracket with convincing wins over DRX, T1, and Global Esports to book their place in the Grand Final.

PRX, on the other hand, were forced to fight through the Lower Bracket after suffering a 1-2 loss to Global Esports. From there, they pieced together a deep lower-bracket run, eliminating DRX 2-1 in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals before taking another 2-1 victory in the Lower Bracket Semifinals. They then exacted revenge on Global Esports with another 2-1 win to secure their Grand Final spot.

How did Paper Rex defeat FULL SENSE in the Grand Final?

Despite the 3-0 scoreline, FULL SENSE kept every map competitive. However, Paper Rex consistently stepped up after halftime, taking control in the later rounds across all three maps.

FULL SENSE started the series strongly on Pearl, edging out a 7-5 lead at the end of the first half after repeatedly finding openings on attack. PRX  struggled early to contain FULL SENSE’s pace and aggression, leaving the Thai side in control heading into the break.

The momentum shifted completely in the second half. PRX tightened their defensive setups and began stringing rounds together, outscoring FULL SENSE 8-3 after halftime. Their late surge secured a 13-10 comeback victory and an early 1-0 series lead.

Lotus proved much closer in the opening half, with both teams trading rounds evenly for a 6-6 deadlock. FULL SENSE continued to pressure aggressively, but Paper Rex consistently found answers in the mid-rounds to keep the score level. After the side swap, PRX once again looked far more composed in the closing stages of the map. They controlled the pace, punished FULL SENSE’s pushes, and pulled away with a 7-3 second-half performance to claim Lotus 13-9 and move to match point.

The final map on Fracture followed a familiar pattern. FULL SENSE remained competitive early and matched PRX round-for-round in the first half, ending it tied 6-6. But just like the previous maps, PRX elevated their level after halftime. Their executes became cleaner, their defensive reads sharper, and FULL SENSE struggled to regain momentum once rounds started slipping away. PRX closed the map 13-10 after another strong 7-4 second half to complete the 3-0 sweep and secure the VCT Pacific Stage 1 title.

With their win, Paper Rex have qualified for both the Esports World Cup and VCT Masters London. They have also earned a total of 10 Championship Points as champions of VCT Pacific Stage 1. f0rsakeN was also notably named the Grand Final MVP after leading the team with impactful plays across the series.
