Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it describes GOSU MEDIA PTE. LTD.’s (“we”, “us” or “our”) collection, use, disclosure, retention and protection of personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisations which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or process personal data for our purposes, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”). Unless otherwise defined, terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA, where the context so permits.

This Privacy Policy applies to every user who visits https://www.gosugamers.net (the “Site”), all products and services offered under our group, including the “GosuGamers” brand, and any other website(s) or service(s) which references this Privacy Policy. Third parties you interact with through us may have different privacy policies and you should review their privacy policies carefully before sharing your information with them. By accessing the Site, our other website(s) and/or using our products and services, you agree and provide us, our authorised service providers and third parties with your consent to collect, use, disclose and/or retain your personal data in the manner set forth in this Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consent which you may have previously provided to us, nor does it affect any right that we may have at law in connection with the collection, use, disclosure and/or retention of your personal data. 

This Privacy Policy forms part of the terms and conditions governing your relationship with us and should be read in conjunction with the GosuGamers Terms of Service (“Terms of Service”) accessible at https://www.gosugamers.net/terms. In the event of any inconsistency between the provisions of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, the provisions of the Terms of Service shall prevail.   

We recognise the importance of maintaining the privacy of every user who visits the Site, our other website(s) and uses our products and services. We value your privacy and appreciate your trust in us. We are committed to being transparent about the personal data we collect from you, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.

To the extent permissible under applicable law, we collect information about you and any other party whose details you provide to us when you interact with us. Generally, we collect information:

  5. through the technology you use to access the Site, our other website(s) and/or our services, including mobile devices and browsers (for example, we may collect the device identification number and type, location information and connection information such as statistics on your page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, ad data, and your IP address using Cookies or similar technologies); and
  6. when you respond to our request for additional personal data.

We may enhance personal information we collect from you with information we obtain from third parties that are entitled to share that information; for example, information from data management platforms, but in each case as permitted by applicable laws.

If you intend on giving us personal information about someone else, you are responsible for ensuring that you comply with any obligation and consent obligations under applicable data protections laws. In so far as required by applicable data protection laws, you must ensure that you have their explicit consent to do so beforehand and that you explain to them how we collect, use, disclose and retain their personal information or direct them to read our Privacy Policy.

We take all reasonable measures to ensure that your personal data remains accurate, complete and up-to-date. You may request access to or make corrections to your personal data records but we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing your request. Personal information in the European Union is protected by data protection laws but other countries do not necessarily protect your personal information in the same way.

Our website and some of our applications or services or parts of them may also be hosted in the United States or otherwise outside of the EEA (which means all the EU countries plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) (“EEA”) and this means that we may transfer any information which is submitted by you through the website or the application or service outside the EEA to the United States or to other territories outside of the EEA. When you send an email to us, this will also be stored on email servers which are hosted with Google and therefore may be outside of the EEA.

We may use service providers based outside of the EEA to help us provide our website and services to you and this means that we may transfer your information to service providers outside the EEA for the purpose of providing our advertising and services to you.

We take steps to ensure that where your information is transferred outside of the EEA by our service providers and hosting providers, appropriate measures and controls are in place to protect that information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. In each case, such transfers are made in accordance with the requirements of Regulations (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulations or “GDPR”) and may be based on the use of the European Commission’s Standard Model Clauses for transfers of personal data outside the EEA.

By using our website, products or services or by interacting with us in the ways described in this Privacy Policy, you consent to the transfer of your information outside the EEA in the circumstances set out in this Privacy Policy. If you do not want your information to be transferred outside the EEA you should not use our website, applications or services.

6. How Long We Keep Your Personal Data

We will retain your personal information for the duration of our business relationship and afterwards for as long as is necessary and relevant for our legitimate business purpose, legal purpose or to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Where we no longer need your personal information, we will dispose of it in a secure manner (without further notice to you).  

If we have asked for your permission to process your personal data and we have no other lawful grounds to continue with processing the same, and you withdraw your permission, we shall dispose of your personal data in a secure manner.

As our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 16 years old or older, we do not collect any information from anyone under 16 years of age.

While we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information which is transmitted to our website or services or to other websites, applications and services via the internet or similar connection. If we have given you (or you have chosen) a password to access certain areas of our websites or services, please keep this password safe – we will not share this password with anyone. If you follow a link from our website or service to another site or service, this notice will no longer apply. We are not responsible for the information handling practices of third-party sites or services and we encourage you to read the privacy policies appearing on those sites or services.

Those social media sites may automatically provide us with access to certain personal information retained by them about you (for example any content you have viewed). You should be able to manage your privacy settings from within your own third-party social media account(s) to manage what personal information you enable us to access from that account.

10. Google Analytics

GosuGamers utilises Google Analytics, which is a web analytics service offered by Google LLC (“Google”) that tracks and reports website traffic parameters. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of websites. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the advertisements of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the websites available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics ‘opt-out’ Internet browser add-on.

Cookies are small text files which are transferred from our websites or services and stored on your device. We use cookies to help us provide you with a personalised service, and to help make our websites and services better for you.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites operated by third parties, even though it is linked to our website(s). You should refer to the privacy policies of such third-party website(s) and contact its owner or operator if you have any concerns or questions. 

By accessing and browsing the functions on our website(s), you shall also be consenting to and be subject to the terms of YouTube’s Terms of Service, YouTube’s API Services and Google’s Privacy Policy. 

Our websites or services may enable you to share information with social media sites or use social media sites to create your account or link to your social media account. Those social media sites may automatically provide us with access to certain personal information retained by them about you (for example any content you have viewed). If you would like to manage what personal information you enable us to access from that account, you can review the privacy settings of your own social media account(s).

Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclosure without consent is permitted or required by applicable laws.
