The reigning IPTL champions saw themselves dethroned at the hands of MVP, despite putting some of the very best that the roster has to offer.

MVP opened with Dream against First and although they took the early lead, they were almost killed by MC. The Boss Toss went on a 3-game win streak before NAKSEO could finally end him and keep the hopes of MVP alive.

The IEM World Champion YoDa was put on the line but he too stood in the booth for just two games, losing to a most unexpected player: Super.

Mostly known for his average at best Code A performances, Super (a.k.a. Vampire) became the hero of team MVP. Disposing of YoDa was only the beginning and a victory against Ragnarok followed immediately. Tied at 4-4, IM realized the time for fooling around is over and they sent forth Squirtle.

The two clashed on Planet S in the first and only PvP of the match and it was there Super saw the fall of LG-IM, the dethroning of the champions and MVP's first premier team league title since 2011 GSTL Season 1. Their prize: a $9,000 check.

Rebroadcast of the grand final will commence at 00:00 CET on twitch.tv/ignproleague.
