Nth Takes home the EIZO March Cup in style

Nth claims first place in the EIZO Cup in beating Team Liquid in the finals. The winner bagged €1250.

The EIZO Cup has finally come to an end with an exhausting day of Dota for the top 4 teams. Despite the tough competition, Nth manages to come on top to grab first place in the EIZO March Cup.

Semi-final 1: Nth 2:1 Na'Vi

Nth takes a convincing 21 minutes first game over the Ukrainian power house Na'Vi, beating the strong anti-push of Kotl(keeper of the light) and Phantom Lancer with the strong 5 man pushing lineup. Nth EGM's Rubick managed to steal blackhole from Kuroky's Enigma, followed by Loda's Gyrocopter call down to secure the team fight and the first set of rax. The strong healing power from Chen and Juggernaut really gave Nth the pushing power needed for a fast first game.

The second game was really back and forth. Dendi carried the game with Natures Prophet, achieving a total of 17 kills. The Na'Vi tanky face rush lineup really exploited Spectres lack of flash farm abilities, with only a yasha nearing the end of the game. Na'Vi takes the BO3 to a third game.

The third game lasted 54 minutes. In the late game, Na'Vi had no answers for the Phantom Lancer. Despite an early game advantage Na'vi built up, they could not stop the flash farming of Natures Prophet and Phantom Lancer from continuously split pushing. Nth goes into the grand finals.

Semi-final 2: Liquid 2:0 Fnatic.eu
Fnatic.eu vs Team Liquid is a serious battle between the two top teams from EU/NA. In game one the gold and experience graph was like a rollercoaster, the gold advantage between the two teams never surpassed 3000. The carry power of an empowered maxed out Luna just got too large for the Lone Druid. They defended for a good 10 minutes, but a small pick off from Team Liquid sealed the deal for them to take the final rax and the game.

In game two, Team Liquid picks up an all ganking lineup, including the Storm Spirit and Naix combination that picked heroes off left and right, these ganks really set a fast tempo to the game. Fnatic.eu tried to turtle the game with a Phantom Lancer, applying the 4 protect 1 strategy, but the item advantage for Team Liquid was far too much; also the Gyrocopter pick from Team Liquid was extremely efficient in clearing Phantom Lancer illusions. The final push eventually came after killing Roshan for a second time followed up by wiping out the Fnatic.eu's backlines in order to take two sides of rax. Team Liquid will advance to the finals to play Nth.

Grand Final: Nth 2:0 Liquid
The finals began with Nth picking a set of heroes almost identical to the match they used against Na'Vi in the semi-finals. The only difference was they exchanged the banned out Gyrocopter for a Doom. This time Loda's carry was not the damage dealer but a tank to absorb all the damage while the Lone druid destroys the towers and the rax. The game ended with an epic battle for the throne. Nth lost all their rax, and went for the final GG push where they just managed to successfully take down the enemy throne. Game one goes in the favour of Nth.

Game two starts off very unfortunately for Nth with Akke's Chen giving up first blood while he took too long when dewarding as he unluckily made three misses in a row. However Nth made a good come back during mid game with a smoke wrap around initiated by S4's armlet Night Stalker, team wiping Liquid. Nth managed to further their lead by winning team fights with Loda's Kunka hitting high splash damage wounding the entire Liquid team, whereas on many occasions Team Liquid failed to capitalise on their Magnus reverse polarity and Gyrocopter combos. Nth becomes the EIZO cup champions with a 2-0 victory over Team Liquid in the grand finals.
