The day started off with MaNa going up against fellow country man Nerchio in the first round-of-12 match. In an interview yesterday MaNa stated that he indeed wished for this match-up and that he wanted to come out 3-0. Unfortunately for him, and fortunately for viewers, Nerchio gave him a run for his money but in the end MaNa beat him 3-2. As can be seen by their internal match history, this was the first time MaNa beat his polish compadre in an official match.

Stephano who claimed that he doesn't need to practice, he just needs to think, might have to rethink this practice of his as he got eliminated by PartinG's solid Protoss play, 3-1. The one person who claims to have spent lots of time practicing is ret and he displayed a convincing shape as he took down Sting 3-1. Just before the game Sting himself smiled and predicted to be victorious himself by dropping one map at most. Ret proved him wrong and mentioned after the game that he would win atleast two maps since he had two strategies he knew would be successful. The last round-of-12 match was between two Korean stars, Dream vs First. First won it 3-1 and moves on to play vs viOLet in the quarter finals tomorrow.

MVP, praised by the commentators throughout the tournament for his to say the least, extremely impressive play, ends the journey this time for MaNa by cutting it short at 3-0. MVP's opponent is none other than YoDa tomorrow in the first semi final. YoDa himself eliminated PartinG in an interesting and intense quarter final series. Terran vs Terran by two of world's best players coming up tomorrow. Before that though, ret will have another shot of proving himself and this time versus the fearsome YongHwa who won his group 5-0. The last quarter final follows after that, a battle of champions, a match that will most likely be something to watch out far, it is First vs viOLet. Check out the brackets and schedule below:
