Two days of the two week extravaganza that is the SoundBlaster Heroes League are in the books. Two completely different days, first no action at all, then peaking with the thriller that was Orange against Afraid. Now two favorites for the finals enter the tournament with compLexity Gaming and Tt eSports.

The re-emerging force that is compLexity Gaming has to take on a unknown opponent in the first round of their home tournament. compLexity Gaming and SoundBlaster have been involved in a partnership for quite some time now, most likely one of the reasons for this epic tournament. On that home stage no one wants to let their fans and their sponsor down - neither does compLexity Gaming.
After coming back strong from their latest struggles in the Diamond Division Cycle 6, the team has reestablished themselve as a top contender after going through a two month long slump. The practice and scrimming activity has gone up and so did the success and win ratio. Still the North American team had to swallow a bitter pill last week when they lost the Grand Finals of the GSL Qualifier to their longtime rival Trademark eSports. That loss cost them a trip to Thailand, a prize SEA icon MoonMeander would have been especially thrilled to get his hands on.
Now it is redemption time for the squad around captain and drafter bkid to reclaim their confidence and get their swagger back on. Their opponent though is an unknown entity at this point, coming off the biggest upset in the SoundBlaster Qualifiers by defeating Another Dimension. Before that the team was only on the radar through their "special" name which caused for some confusion in the HoN Tour Silver Division a little while back. The name won't confuse compLexity Gaming and so the Scandinavian members of BYE need to bring their A game to stand a fighting chance against the powerful compLexity Gaming force.

For the first time in the SoundBlaster Heroes League two Diamond Division teams are actually going to clash. Originally that honor would have gone to Lions eSports and Pencils, but due to the forfeit Tt eSports and We Are Spies is now the Diamond matchup.
Speaking of the Diamond Division both teams already met this Sunday in the HoN Tour Cycle 7 with the much better ending for Tt eSports. Not only because of that win, but because of the latest performance of both teams TteS will head into this match as the clear favorite. On the heels of a roster change involving Tralfamadore for ENSOE, the team has shown much better consistency in their results lately. They were able to reach the GSL Qualifier Semifinals with their new roster and are looking to feed off of that good outing. The Diamond Division debut for Tralf with Tt eSports didn't go quite as smooth as that Qualifier, with an early exit against Lions eSports in the Lower Bracket.
We Are Spies clearly has seen their share of early exits out of the Diamond Division, as the team is looking at two demotions and three Gold Division championships on their CV. The team is considered one of the best upcoming new teams, but so far always crumbled under the pressure in big tournaments and big stages.
