Dendis jungldevos disband

Sad news coming out this monday night as Dendis jungldevos officially announce their disbandment as a competitive team. A lack of motivation from several members paired with disastrous results in the last Gold Cycle triggered it.

Today Dendis jungldevos, a former Diamond Division team and now Gold Division team, has officially announced its disbandment due to motivational issues from several members. The team formed in the midst of the official S2 Games qualifiers for DreamHoN and did quite well early on. In the DreamHoN Redemption tournament they were able to reach the playoffs in their first official tournament, but couldn't come close to getting their hands on a DreamHoN ticket.

The first blow to the stock of Dendis jungldevos immediately followed as they failed to qualify for the group stage in the Destination DreamHoN tournament and therefor the last chance to travel and compete in Sweden was gone.

They still stuck together and improved their game as they became one of the original Diamond Division teams alongside teams like Trademark eSports, compLexity Gaming, Stay Green, QsQ and Tt eSports. Still the big success in HoN Tour never really came as they could pick up victories along the way, but never really break into the top positions in the Diamond Division. In Cycle 3 they even failed to win a single match and therefor got demoted to Gold.

The instant promotion in Cycle 4 failed one victory short of it, but the next attempted in Cycle 5 ended already yesterday with two early losses and a quick elimination from any contention to get promoted again. That disastrous outing pushed them over the edge and they decided to part ways.

After almost seven months together under the [PUDG] tag we have decided to split up for various reasons. We've been everything but consistent as a team, and it has been an extremely bumpy ride. At times we've managed to compete with the best of the best, but we have also lost numerous times to underdog teams.

During the christmas vacation we were inactive as a team and therefore ended up getting knocked out of diamond division. We started scrimming a lot once again and expected to get back into diamond next cycle, especially as we crushed everyone in the SoundBlaster Qualifier that week.
We ended up losing to oo7 and aL, finishing 5-6th and staying in gold for another cycle. At this point we were unsure whether we wanted to continue playing together as we simply weren't performing.

We agreed on giving it one last try in the next cycle (the current one), but as we didn't have time/didn't care to scrim, and ultimaDEFEND couldn't play after 23:00 CET Sunday-Thursday which meant we had to use a ringer, things didn't work out good - to put it mildly.

I think all five of us will stick around and continue playing HoN, but probably not at the same competitive level as we've been playing at for the last couple of months. I can only speak for myself, though, time will tell what the others end up doing. Thanks for the time together Petob, Paalis, ultima and Tjore, thanks for numerous scrims Lions and QsQ, thanks to everyone who's been supporting us and thanks for putting us on the map by calling us "junglefuckers", Tralf!

The teams leaves behind a void in the Gold Division, in the first GSL qualifier and the SoundBlaster Heroes League to which they qualified in the third qualifier. The voids in Gold will be filled in the next cycle, their spot in the GSL qualifier will go to the next team in line in terms of HoN Tour standings. The question now is what will happen to their qualification spot in the SoundBlaster Heroes League Championship Bracket. In further talks Megabever also mentioned that some old members of the team might be forming mixed teams for these events, depending on their mood and time.

Former Dendis jungldevos Roster:

Norway Tjore
Norway Megabever
Norway ultimaDEFEND
Belarus Paalis
Belarus Petob

The competitive fate of the five players is not yet determined as well. Megabever announced that he will take a step back from competing at the high level in HoN Tour and other tournament, as he will play the game with a more casual approach. The rest of the squad has not yet announced their future plans.
