After a decisive victory of Orange eSports one week ago in the "Malaysian Heroes of Newerth National Championship", the team had to suffer the loss of one of their long-time members - carry player XXF_. After that departure the team was scouting for new talent and a good replacement, which they now have found in kiDDo and his brother Nick_Oks`.
Both have been with MuFC eSports for quite a while, traveling to Sweden in the Summer of 2012 to participate in the first ever global DreamHon Championship as one of two SEA representatives. After that they also qualified themselves for the DreamHon Online Summer Championship festivities, but couldn't advance to the playoffs in a tough group featuring Tt eSports, Vitriolic Gaming, Fack You Kurdi, Call It Karma, Team GA and Cats Gaming. That tournament marked the last international appearance for the squad. They stuck to a regional tournaments and finished third behind HonPortal and the champions Orange eSports. The last appearance of the team, that is now disbanding with kiDDO` and Nick_Oks` joining ORGE.
Orange eSports' Captain MrGhost shared his thoughts about the departure of XXF_ and the arrivals of the brothers kiDDO` and Nick_Oks` exclusively with GosuGamers.net.
I wasn't really shocked, since we were already prepared for his decision to leave HoN. He told us that the 500k tournament was his last official and big tournament in Heroes of Newerth, so it wasn't really shocking to us.
Will this hurt Orange eSports dominance in the SEA market in any way?
Yes it will definitely hurt us short term. I mean we have been together as a team for such a long time, now we just need a little bit of time to recover and get used to our new teammates. Figuring out the team work, coordination and fine tuning of our team.
Why did u pick kiddo and Nick_Oks to replace XXF_?
They are just the best players in our country – the best competitive players. On top of that they and the team have common goals, so it was just a good fit for us.
Special thanks to Mischa for her help with the questions! And to MrGhost for the quick response!
Therefor the roster of the reigning Malaysian champion Orange eSports consists of six highly talented players that have all attended at least one DreamHack event and several other major events in the SEA market.
