N9 Gaming qualifies for SoundBlaster Heroes League

The second qualifier for the $40,000 USD tournament hosted by SoundBlaster is in the books with N9 Gaming victorious. They are the fourth team qualified for the finals bracket.

It was a long tournament, but the big names of the scene were missing due to some minor issues with the deadline of the sign-up. In the end only Team Kagge, N9 Gaming (former Druidz eSports), Fack You Kurdi and Isot Pelit with a recognizable name took part in the tournament. Teams from the first qualifier like Vitriolic Gaming, QsQ 777 or the runner-up Dendis Jungledevos didn't made it in time and had to sit this one out.

N9 Gaming used that opportunity of a weakened field, but still came out blasting every opponent of the map. Their run started with a victory over Isot Pelit, followed by decisive outings against oloY, Heder and EEEE to clinch the spot in the Grand Final against Blazin. Said Blazin might not be known to a lot of people, even though they are actually a team from the Gold Division in HonTour. In addition to their HonTour status they were able to defeat SeQuenSe's team Kagge in the semis to reach the Grand Final and to play for the opportunity to advance into the main bracket with all the glory and money on the line.

They might still get the chance as six qualifiers are yet to be played, but in this one N9 Gaming proved to be just too strong of a team. The first map ended after 30 minutes, the second map was just pure domination courtesy of the Greek player Fibeli3, who scaled out of control on Dampeer. As a result Blazin was left with no choice but to concede after just 15 minutes - leaving the main even slot for the Diamond Division team of N9 Gaming.

The next qualifier for the SoundBlaster Heroes League will kick off January, 14th and is set to conclude January, 18th.
