Sixteen teams will grace the Finals Bracket in the SoundBlaster Heroes League, to compete for a prize pool of $40,000 USD. Eight teams will get a direct invite, the other teams will need to win one of eight qualifiers. The first one officially ended tonight, with myRevenge triumphing over Dendis Jungledevos in the Finals.
Both Diamond Division teams had to go through a complete field of competitors in order to even get to the finals, with myRevenge winning against teams like Domain of Pain and QsQ 777, both Diamond Division teams in their own rights. Dendis Jungledevos had to withstand challenges against Shit Happens, Isot Pelit and Vitriolic Gaming to reach the finals.
In the end myRevenge had the better finish in the match against the Norwegian squad, clinching a ticket for the final brackets. They will join compLexity Gaming as one of two teams that have already be determined for the "Champions" Bracket, that will be played in the last week of February, 2013.
The next qualifier will be starting January, 7th, 2013. When SoundBlaster and partners will announce the next invited teams is not yet known.
