Almost a week ago SoundBlaster and S2 Games announced their cooperation for a new Heroes of Newerth tournament with a combined prize pool of $40,000 USD on the line. Now the first of eight invited teams has been announced - compLexity Gaming.
Not the biggest shocker in the world is the invitation of the American organization and for two reasons. One is fact that the team is one of the best in HoN today, ranking second in the Honcast Community Rankings, placing second in the DreamHon Winter 2012 Championship and being a permanent fixture for HoN finals in every league. That success is paired with SoundBlaster being involved in the tournament, as well as the organization compLexity Gaming, made this invite absolutely no surprise.
Now that the invite is official, compLexity Gaming.HoN with the standout players bkid, MoonMeander, Chessie, Haxxeren and support player Franzzii can plan for this big tournament at the beginning of next year.

The other seven open spots are likely to be filled within the next couple of weeks, as the Qualifiers have started and the top teams need clarification whether they need to play those qualification tournaments or not.
