ORGE and MRR travel to DreamHon

Two final spots for the DreamHon tournament at the DreamHack Winter 2012 were still up for grabs, but now two SEA teams have conquered them and will travel to Sweden to represent their region.

The SEA region in Heroes of Newerth is one of the most rapid growing gaming communities in the world and they will be represented in the upcoming DreamHon event in Sweden.

The SEA representatives are Orange eSports, who returned to the Elmia, after they were eliminated in the group stage of the Summer event. Still the team has taken immense strides in the last couple of weeks with a good playoff run in the DreamHon Redemption tournament, where they finished fifth after loses to compLexity Gaming and QsQ. Both of these teams will attend the DreamHon event as well, so they can seek for the revenge at the biggest stage of the all.

On the road to Sweden the Malaysian powerhouse marched through the elite in South-East Asia with wins over Friends Forever, Let Your Money Talk and iMpunity - after a loss to iMpunity in the Upper Bracket Final. Orange is looking for a better placement in the upcoming DreamHon event, after they scratched the playoffs last year, finishing fifth after they provided the first real upset in that tournament - a victory over fnatic.

The second representative for the region is MMR from Thailand, who qualified through a victory at the BigFest 2012 event. The team is very unknown in the international scene, but has it's past set in DotA. All five players on the roster have played for various teams in DotA, before making the switch to Heroes of Newerth at the beginning of this year. The DreamHon event marks the first international challenge for the ambitious team.

In their home region they have already won a couple of smaller tournaments, including LAN Cafe tournaments and the HoN Eastern Tournament 2012. In they way to winning the BigFest 2012 they eliminated teams like Shooter, nC and the known organization MiTH to reach the finals, were they won against Kc in a three match series.

They will come in as complete underdogs, but should not be underestimated. The Thailand region is widely unknown, but sources close to the scene are projecting very good play from several teams out of Thailand. They might not have the potential to go all the way, but they should be considered as a Wildcard, that can post problems to the established international teams.
