Interesting days for Heroes of Newerth fans and the DreamHon Winter festivities, as the tournament will get four new competitors in the next couple of days. The Latin American Qualifier will make the beginning, the international Deathmatches will follow.
This weekend the Latin American qualifier for the DreamHon event in Jönköping, Sweden will take place during the festivities of the Brasil Game Show, a big lan festival in Brasil. This event will host the final stage of the Latin American qualifier that will send one lucky team directly to Sweden to compete with the best teams in the world and represent their home region.
Four teams have already qualified for the event through an Online tournament, the rest of the Latin elite will have to go through a BYOC hosted at the venue. A total of eight teams will play the big final event, till only the last team is standing and can celebrate their tickets to the DreamHack Winter 2012.
A little bit of a suprise is that the sponsored team from Dynasty has not reached the event through the online qualification. In one tournament they violated a rule by using a ringer and got disqualified, in the other tournament they fell against Team Royalty. Still they are expected to play the BYOC and they should have a good chance of reaching the final eight - if not more.
The four pre-qualified teams are Team Royalty, that will be starting under a sponsor tag paiN Gaming, Insight eSports, already a sponsored team, and the two non-sponsor teams from New Era and Every Man For Himself. Those teams have already taken the first step towards the flight ticket and accomodations at DreamHack weekend, as they can relax, while other contenderts have to go through the stress of a BYOC.

GosuGamers sources reveal that their will be a small purse, most likely, but the exact wording was just "decent price pool". The only thing that was said in certainty was that the prize pool will be well below LoL tournament that is simultaneously played, which will feature a $80,000 USD total price pool.
