Destination: Group B decided, TheReturners upset Tt eSports

A huge upset brought Tt eSports down when their winning streak snapped after four consecutive wins in the tournament. Their downfall came against an improved looking TheReturners. Inventive lineups lead to those victories. The first map was a total blowout by Tt eSports, who got a huge opening on Pebbles and had early Portal Keys on all five team members. On the second map TheReturners showed a completely new face with a Soul Reaper, a Kinesis and a Parasite. That agressive lineup showed its effect and they were able to dominate the entire game. The same dominance came to the surface on map three, when TheReturners picked a Deadwood, a Cthulhuphant, a Tremble, a Glacius and a Keeper of the Forest. The lineup once again proved to be too much to handle for Tt eSports and so their streak snapped. That victory keeps TheReturners in contention and leaves the first place wide open for GaryJohnson2012.

GJ12 got their job done today, when they defeated PienetPelit to stay undefeated. They are the only team that is still undefeated and they have a great chance of claiming the first place in Group B. They are only one victory away from clinching the playoff berth and two away from getting the first place in the group.

Competing with TheReturners for the third place is QsQ357, who pulled out a victory over CallItKarma today to improve their record to 3-2. They now have the same record and map score as TheReturners, so both teams will have to be perfect for the rest of the tournament to advance.

Group B has seen it's first playoff participant with Lions having played all seven matches already and are sure to get into one of the three Deathmatches. The last step towards this clinching spot was defeating Druidz, who forfeited the match.

The second playoff spot will go to BunkerDown, who have played six matches already and are advancing as well. Today they obliterated zhiT to claim that spot and their last appearance in the group stage will be Sunday, when they face DenmarkOwnsSweden to fight for the final seeding.

The last spot will most likely go to Pikachu, who are sitting at a 4-1 record currently and are just one victory away from clinching that playoff spot. Today they defeated DenmarkOwnsSweden and they can only be caught by Druidz or WILL SMITH. One slip-up from either one of those teams or a victory for Pikachu will decide the group for good.

WILL SMITH had the opportunity today to improve their chances, but Black Sheep defeated them and therefore minimized this opportunity. Black Sheep will also play another game later on tonight against DoS, that result will appear in tomorrow's news.
