DreamHon Redemption: compLexity storms through the group stage - again

It is Deja vu territory with this tournaments group stage and compLexity Gaming. In the DreamHon Online Summer Championship coL walked through the group stage unscathed as they delivered the "perfect" group stage. They went on to win the tournament in the end, giving only one single map away, so this early success could be a sign of things to come.

Dominance was a word used pretty commonly to describe the compLexity group stage of the DreamHon OSC tournament, since the team just tore their opponents apart left and right in the entire stage. With eight victories in eight games and no map lost, the team completed the perfect stage and went on to dominate the remainder of the tournament aswell. Today they took another step to the second consecutive perfect stage as they defeated the Swedish team of Lions eSports 2-0.

That result puts compLexity already into the next round, as QsQ 357 won against FyKu with 2-1. That means that both QsQ357 and Lions will fight for the second spot in the group as both teams have one victory on their record and are going head-to-head in the third and final match.

Group B came down to the top match of the day between Trademark eSports and MuFC eSports, as both teams won their first game in the tournament. The new tdM showed their strenght in both matches, getting the playoff spot already. With the two direct opponents going against each other in the direct match in three days, tdM can already plan for the playoffs and another attempt to take down compLexity Gaming. MuFC has to win next week against Fifteen to advance into the playoffs.

The second match of this playday became the very first forfeit in this tournament. Druidz E-sports was not able to make it in the scheduled time so Fifteen decided to take the forfeit victory, pushing them into playoff contention again. For Fifteen it now comes down to the third and final match as they will take on MuFC for the coveted second spot in this group. Both teams will need the win to advance in this "Loser leaves town" match.
