As September enters ours midst, the Xeria Gaming Team League continues to reach its climax. Seven of the nine teams that participated in the inaugural season of the xGTL have already been eliminated - Wayi Spider, Xeria Gaming, Sequential, Flash eSports, Mineski, MiTH, and StorM; leaving two teams to battle it out for $500 AUD, as well as the glory of becoming the first xGTL champions.

These two teams are none other than Taiwan's Gama Bears, and the star-studded lineup from Australia: Gamecom.NV. These two finished the group stages at first and second at the first and second spots, respectively.
With the finals set to take place on August 6 2012 9PM AEST, both teams are expected to bring out the big guns in an attempt to go all the way.
GAMECOM.Nv's manager, Derek 'Dox' Reball has stated the following in an interview by SC2SEA.com:
 | All of a sudden, that feeling of pride came rushing back to us and everyone was celebrating. It was a really great moment. I hope we can channel that intensity against Gama Bears on Thursday night because their roster is intimidating to say the least. |
It would be interesting to note that coming into the finals, these two teams have split the two times that they have met in the tournament, winning 3-1 each, for a whopping 4-4 standing when it comes to best of threes. GAMECOM defeated Gama Bears in the last week of the round robin stages, but they would then falter to the Taiwanese at the WB finals, before dispatching another team from Taiwan in Wayi Spider at the LB finals to forge another duel with their xGTL rivals.
