DreamHon Group C: Undefeated vtrl wins the group championship

Group C was already decided last week, when Tt eSports and Vitriolic clinched their tickets for the playoff stage. Still, the top spot was up for grabs as Tt eSports still had a shot at it if Vitriolic's undefeated streak would snap.

Tt eSports didn't even fight, as they got awarded a forfeit victory against the Russian competitor Cats Gaming, so Tt eSports was in pursuit of the championship by default.

Vitriolic had to play their series, but made a pretty impressive statement heading into the playoffs. A clean 2-0 victory over QoP not only solidified them as the Group C champion, but also made them a serious contender in the round of eight.

In the two other matches, both without any major implications, MuFC was able to bring Team GA down, who are ending the group stage with a disappointing 0-7 record, after reaching the DreamHon tournament about two month ago. The other match between FyKu and CallItKarma was ruled a forfeit victory for C1K, boosting them to 3-4 record in the group.

One other result brought the tension for the final playday tomorrow to new heights. With Trademark eSports getting a forfeit victory over iLight, the highlight match of the final day is all set. TmRy and tdM are squaring off with the loser being eliminated and the winner moving on to play in the round of eight for the big dollars and the DreamHon Online Summer Championship title.
