The second week usually gives a pretty good indication in which direction the group will go. Victories or losses in the first week can have a flukey feel to them, but the second week gives some more impressions of the teams. The big winners of this playday in Group A were the Orange eSports and Pikachu, both picking up the second win in their second game.
The Malaysian participants Orange eSports were the absolute favorites in this group. After struggling a little bit in their opener against QsQ 112, they also struggled against the Europeans from Smackdown Syndrome. But after getting a convincing start into the match, dominating map one, SdS managed to get the equalizer on map two. So for the second time in a row ORGE had to go through the nerve-wracking experience of playing the Ace Match for the victory. Once again they came out ahead, managing to get the second win. SdS one the other hand find themselves with two losses, after losing to QsQ 613 in Week one.
They now join unZ at the bottom of the standings with two losses each. unZ, after promising moments against Pikachu last week, got totally steamrolled by Nineties, who bounced back from their clear opening loss against QsQ 357. That same QsQ 357 team that missed the opportunity to join Orange eSports at the top of the standings, after giving Pikachu a clear 2:0 victory. Pikachu thesmselves now take the runner-up spot in the standings.
Still missing is the results from the internal clash of QsQ 112 against QsQ 613, which got delayed and will be played at a later time, possibly tomorrow.
