Korean terran invite Supernova took a commanding lead in Group A, after playing exemplary TvZ series against his foreign opponents. Supernova is only to play Illusion next and is almost certain to advance to the playoffs.
Although the Korean invite did come as the absolute and unquestionable favorite for the tournament, the Chilean zerg KiLLer did make him break a sweat. KiLLer was relentless in the first set, bravely breaking through Supernova's center position despite the perfect tank and marine spread and continued to rally forces up terran territory but Supernova was unbreakable from that point on. With a steady economy behind his back and with ultras instead of brood lords on the field for Killer, Supernova continued to produce silly amounts of marines and medivacs and force a GG.
During set two, Killer improved his play even further and entered what can be described as a map-hackish state of vigilance. Killer caught every single medivac drop that Supernova sent and built towards a critical muta mass to erase the terran's economy in a few fly-byes. The third and final set saw Supernova going to quick three bases on Terminus and pushing in with his marine/tank for the win after Killer made the mistake of mismicroing his mutas and losing the majority of them.
Right as this series was completed, Supernova jumped to another ZvT against DarkForce, who was the other player in the group with a positive score. The Korean did not show the same weaknesses as he did during the Killer series and snatched a quick and much unrivaled 2-0.
