SunCow signed by mTw, released the next day

On January 16th, team mTw recruited Polish Zerg player David "SunCow" Al-Dughaither. One day later, however, the Brood War veteran was released from the foreign team as it became clear that Al-Dughaither has been knowingly withholding information that would impede his duties to mTw.

In the Brood War days, SunCow was an active member of MYM and made a name of himself by living and training in Korea and placing second at WCG Poland 2005 and YMBC Korea TV. Al-Dughaither was to start his professional StarCraft 2 career under the mTw flag but one day later the foreign team announced that there has been a "huge misunderstanding".

According to mTw, SunCow, currently residing in Dubai, has withheld valuable information concerning his past and his inability to travel and compete in European events. Various other sources point to the latter being due to Al-Dughaither's criminal record, although the details surrounding the case are unclear.

- "Today we have to to say goodbye to David 'SunCow' Al-Dughaither," reads the official statement of Team mTw. "Like we found out afterwards, David knowingly withheld important informations from us. Some of these informations involve his past which we won't discuss in detail at this point though. Unfortunately it is impossible for David to take part in European tournaments. Sadly this is nothing that fits our plans for the year 2012."
