ISL Round of Eight over

Only eight players were remaining in the ISL this weekend, but after a few eliminations, only four remain.

It was yet another weekend with the AoV iCCup StarLeague taking a step closer to the grand final and also the promised special match with White-Ra.
It was already the round of eight this time, which determined who will manage to still have a shot at first place by advancing to the semi-finals.

Those eight players remaining, during the round of eight, were the Russian Terran player Heme who had to face the German powerhouse Zerg Kolll, however, Heme has a great Terran versus Zerg matchup which didn't give all shots away for him, unlike many people seemed to think.
On the next match faced none other than the Hungarian Zerg and ex-ToT) member sziky, and Scan, a great Terran player residing in the United States of America was showing great play, as well. No favourite here.
The third of the four matches was to be played by a rather lesser known competitor, Hejek, a polish Zerg player who had to prove his Zerg versus Zerg skills against DeSka, a claimed "cheesy" player from Mexico.
The US-american Protoss, Jumper, and the other Hungarian Zerg in the tournament, Ace, had to fight it out in the fourth match up. Jumper might have been the underdog, but that doesn't mean he can't perform.

All of the VOD's can be seen on the YouTube channel of iCCupBW.

Also several players have been interviewed and the videos can be found in the according teamliquid.net thread.

The results are listed below.

AoV ISL Round of Eight
Russia Heme3-1Germany Kolll
Hungary sziky2-3United States Scan
Poland Hejek1-3Mexico DeSka
United States Jumper0-3Hungary Ace

This leaves the semi-final matches to be fought between Heme and Scan in a probably really great Terran versus Terran match up and DeSka and Ace on the other side of the bracket to also fight in a mirror match up, Zerg versus Zerg.
