Welcome gentlemen and thanks for this interview. At what magnitude does DotA Pride exist at the moment? Please share some numbers about players, hostbots and prizes.
ext3: "The guaranteed prize money for Division 1 is at least 300$ plus Garena premium accounts. The money will be split into 150$,100$ and 50$ for the three most successful players. This pool will increase, in case we get more money out of our payment system."
PeLaTis: "For Division 2, we offer promotions to Dota Pride 1 for the five best players. We also have negotiations with Garena in progress, where we hope to arrange some premium accounts as prizes.
Concerning the bots, they are on Garena, capable of hosting five games each and just two by number, but we are going to buy more. I am furthermore working on a seperate client for DP, which will make things more comfortable.
The amount of players settles around 400, distributed into 150 in Division 1 and 250 in Division 2."
This is your second attempt with DP. What went wrong the first time?
PeLaTis: "You are right. Back in the past, we lost everything, due to sponsors, who failed to pay season prizes and DotA Pride servers. Even the former owner left the project."
What are you going to do better than last time?
PeLaTis: "The difference is, that we are better organized. We pay the servers from our own pocket and since there was some abuse in the last season, there is no more after the reopening. We will do our best, to make every single moment enjoyable for our new and already existing players."
Due to the launch of LDHL, LDCL, EEDL and more, Inhouse Leagues for DotA have to deal with a lot of business competetion as of late. What makes Dota Pride special?
ext3: Dota Pride will stay as it was: A good place for highly skilled players and nobody else, which seperates us from others. You see back when we went down, the newly formed EEDL incorporated every player, from both our Divisions, which made it kind of hard to create resonable games in terms of skill-equalities among the players. The messy channels were also a bit of a problem.
We will put our main emphasis on being well organized and guaranteeing high-skilled DotA action.
You also announced the DotA Pride Cup. Tell us more about it please.
ext3: The preperations are underway and we will start later this month, as our payment system is not ready yet. Whoever wants to participate, needs to buy a DPC ticket to join the channel; the mode for the games will be -cm only.
Non-registered or verified players are not allowed and the ticket per person is 5$ (25$ per team). This money will be fully added to the prizepool. Our seasons last 2 months, which ensures more time for teams to assign. That again equals mor money to win. What we are also going to provide are online statistics for all teams, so people are able to catch the latest updates.
What are your future plans?
PeLaTis: We've had some problems with ddosing and hacking on Garena in the past and intent to finish our own client rather quickly; that will secure us lag-free games. We also aim to gain the confidence from our players back, which we'll hopefully achieve through hard work.
Thanks for your time and good luck with your project! Any last words or shoutouts?
PeLaTis: I just wanted to say that we are open and all bans are cleared; everyone is welcome to apply. Thanks a lot!
ext3: Thank you all!
