Jian Fei has Chinese origin but moved to Canada when he was 6.
- "My family and friends are always excited when I mention to them that I'm going out of the city for a tournament," says IefNaij and smiles. "So I would say they fully support me playing StarCraft 2 which is great because many Asian parents are really strict and wouldn't even let their child play games."
- "In the Asian culture, many parents want their child to be the best in school and therefore do now allow their child to play games."

- "There are a lot of kids out there who get in trouble for playing games but it is just not known to the public and the Western culture are sometimes oblivious to it," says IefNaij.
The interviewer then brings up the fact that it sounds contradictory as the world's best StarCraft gamers come from Asia. IefNaij responds saying that there are of course exceptions.
- "Many of the top players play even though their parents are really against them playing, but as they become better and win money their parents slowly begin to accept them playing games," says IefNaij and adds this happens a lot with pro gaming in South Korea.
