Polish Terran Tomasz "Tarson" Boron advance as first seed to the playoffs from Group B after defeating Swede Terran Stefan "MorroW" Andersson in the final round.
While it started with MorroW taking the reins in group B, by defeating North Americans Chris "HuK" Loranger and Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski, it turned with Tarson winning the group stage. This after a 2-0 (Blistering Sands, Metalopolis) win in the final round.
Neither HuK nor Artosis leaves gamescom without any points, with HuK defeated Tarson 2-1 (Metalopolis, Xel'Naga Caverns, Steppes of War) and Artosis defeating HuK 2-1 (Lost Temple, Metalopolis, Steppes of War).
