The Highly Anticipated Newerth League is finally here, with features that no other league can rival.
-3 Single Leagues: NL Open, NL Pro, NL Elite. So no player is left without a piece of the action. Starting with the Open tier just about anyone can go ahead and join games from the website with the corresponding game name and start playing and eventually work your way up to NL Pro and conclude by getting vouched into NL Elite.
-New Stat System: NLS is an improved scoring method over PSR. With this new added feature your stats will be tracked through the league with only records of games played in NL.
-Team League: Multiple divisions with prize pools for all levels of play. Each tier will have its own tournament and even a chance at a grand prize.
-HoN Integration: Almost seamless stat tracking and game integration. Newerth League has created its own stat tracking and created an In-Game mod to go with it, however it is not required but gives great insight to the players in game and their Newerth League skill rating.
-Live Streamed Games: A selection of games will be streamed live via Honcast onto the website with featured games from a variety of tiers.
-Radio: NL radio with everything from HoN talk to music, to keep you updated with everything going on in the Forests of Caldavar.
We asked Chilly(The head mod at NL) what his thoughts where about the launch.
"For this type of thing the launch is actually going pretty well, people just need to get used to the interface, we have plans to launch a balance system and team match making extremely soon and the ladder is already updating so you can check out your NLS and how it updates."
With their first tournament coming up and sign-ups starting July 6th this will be one busy summer for HoN players.
