M2 takes place in Singapore in January 2021, with the world's best 12 Mobile Legends teams battling out against one another for the ultimate glory. The tournament will have 3 stages; Phase 1, Phase 2 and Playoffs. Phase 1, the teams will be grouped into 4 groups of 3 teams and they will play each other in a single round robin. Top team from each group will advance to the playoffs while the bottom 2 teams will proceed to Phase 2. In Phase 2, the 2nd placers from Phase 1 will play the 3rd placers of the other groups. The winners will advance to the Playoffs while losers will be eliminated. Playoffs will be a double elimination bracket. First place finishers in Phase 1 will advance to the semifinal stage of the upper bracket, while the rest will start from the lower bracket.
