The LCS Proving Grounds is a tournament featuring talent from both LCS academy teams and amateur teams. The event effectively replaces the NA Academy playoffs. 16 teams participate: top 6 from NA Academy Spring, top 4 from the 1st Tier 1 Tournament, top 4 from the 2nd Tier 1 Tournament and top 2 from the 3rd Tier 1 Tournament.
