Vasilii, Ackerman, NoName leave LMQ

LCS NA Summer bronze medalists LMQ are down to just two players as their top, jungle and AD players decided to leave the team voluntarily.

After a very successful year in North America, LMQ are now facing the tough situation where they need to fill up their roster as Ackerman, Vasilii and team captain NoName say goodbye to the team.

According to onGamers, top laner Xiao "ackerman" Wang has chosen to return to China where his girlfriend and friends reside. Ackerman transferred to LMQ in December 2013 after finishing second in the Season 3 World Championship as a member of Royal Club but with his one year with LMQ now coming to an end, the "God of Renekton" will now be going back to his home country to possibly sign and compete in an LPL team.

The other two ex-LMQ'ers will be going in entirely different directions. AD carry Li "Vasilii" Wei-Jun will stay in North America but will be looking for a new team, while former captain Zhou "NoName" Qi-Lin will also be returning to China but not as a player. Choosing to retire from this career path, NoName will pursue other positions in competitive League.

With the AD, top and jungle positions now vacant, LMQ are to hold try-outs to fill the spots with players either from the North American region or exempt non-residents. Although Yu "XiaoWeiXiao" Xian has stated that he will be staying with the team for the next season, supporter Zhang "Mor" Hong-Wei's future in LMQ is uncertain as negotiations between the two parties are still not finalized.

LMQ qualified for this year's LCS by destroying the Challenger Series, taking first places in the first and second series as well as the playoffs in April. Once on LCS ground, LMQ's performance continued to impress and the team finished second after Cloud 9 in the Summer Season, tied with Americans at 64% win-rate.

The Summer playoffs didn't go as smoothly, though and after a tough 2-3 loss to TSM the Chinese were sent to the third place match against Curse, their last chance to make Worlds. There, LMQ had to fight back from a 0-2 deficit against the black-and-orange squad to give start to their Wolrds campaign - one that would eventually end with a disappointing group stage exit following a 2:4 score.
